Ute finance
Ute finance for tradies and ABN holders
Your ute is where the work starts. We compare lenders for new and used utes, from a dealer or a private seller.
Chattel mortgage
You own the ute from day one and the lender holds it as security. A common choice for ABN holders using the ute mainly for work.
Lease and hire purchase
Other ways to structure ute finance, each with different ownership and tax treatment. Your accountant can tell you which suits your business.
Balloon payments
A balloon can lower your regular repayments, with a lump sum due at the end of the term. We'll show you both ways.
New ABN, dealer or private sale
Some lenders consider newer ABN holders and private sale utes, depending on your industry experience and the vehicle.

FAQs
Common questions
Can I finance older or used equipment?
Often, yes. Some lenders consider older equipment, depending on its age, type and condition, and whether you're buying from a dealer or privately. Tell us what you're looking at and we'll check which lenders suit.
Can I get equipment finance with a new ABN?
We may be able to help. Some lenders consider newer businesses, particularly where you have experience in the industry or can put down a deposit. Every application is assessed by the lender, so we'll talk through what's realistic for you.
What kinds of equipment can be financed?
Most business assets, including utes and commercial vehicles, trucks and trailers, earthmoving and construction machinery, agricultural equipment, workshop tools, and medical or office equipment. If you're not sure, just ask.
What's the difference between a chattel mortgage and a lease?
They're different ways to structure equipment finance. With a chattel mortgage you own the equipment from the start and the lender takes security over it. With a lease, the lender owns the equipment and you pay to use it. Each is treated differently for tax and accounting, so check with your accountant which suits your business.
Will enquiring affect my credit score?
No. Making an enquiry with us has no impact on your credit score. A credit check only happens if you decide to go ahead with a full application, and we'll talk you through that before anything is submitted.
